Slowing Down Enough to Be with Nature
Even with orders to stay at home, it can be easy to fill our time with being busy. As a culture, that is our learned behavior. Yet slowing down enough—pausing long enough—to actually notice the brilliant colors and emerging life of spring helps us to feel calmer and at ease. Yesterday, I picked a bouquet of lilacs from my yard. It’s been a rough spring for them, too, but I managed to get a few for my vase. Then I made this wreath in celebration of setting aside my work to truly enjoy nature and the art it inspires.
