A 10-Week Program for Self-Discovery, Connecting to Your Personal Values, and Reclaiming Your Power

Please let me know if you are interested in the Mindful Healing of Religious Wounds program. I will contact you when the next program is scheduled.
Our search for spirituality, meaning, and connection is universal. Religion seeks to help people relate to their spirituality through doctrines and instruction in behaviors and worldviews. Sadly, many people suffer harm from the teachings of their specific theological belief system, or from abusive leaders and lay members. The wounds are painful and deep because they came from a source that was once trusted.
This program is not intended to influence any person toward or away from religious beliefs. You may be going through some level of deconstruction and would like to build skillful tools for your new, empowered life. Some religious groups do not provide positive support for different experiences and ideas, or the discovery of personal power and values.
The Mindful Healing from Religious Wounds program uses the practice of mindfulness meditation as one possible path for healing, insight, peace, and renewed joy for those who have suffered as a result of actions from religious leaders, lay members, or harmful teachings.
Mindfulness meditation is not religious and can be practiced by all people, regardless of religion or affiliation. This program is offered as a path toward healing for those who have been harmed from engagement with religious practices or practitioners.
Mindfulness meditation does not require any special equipment or physical ability.
This program uses trauma-informed practices. All care will be taken to ensure you feel safe and supported during the sessions.
This program is not meant to take place of psychotherapy or other professional mental health services.
Although mindfulness meditation is beneficial for most people and works well in conjunction with therapy, it is not by itself a substitute for medical or psychiatric treatment. I am not a therapist nor is this a therapy group. You will be asked to sign a waiver. This is a program in self-discovery and it is understood that people who sign up for this program are mentally stable.
