Mindful Parents: Emotional Well-Being for New Moms & Dads
An 8-week course in Mindfulness to support your goals for reducing depression and anxiety, and help you stay well as a new parent.
It’s easy to put off taking care of ourselves when the demands of caring for others are high, as they are when you have a young baby.
Learning the skills of this program will help you step out of old patterns that place you at risk for depression, anxiety, and stress and step into new patterns that nourish your well-being and your relationship with your baby and other important people in your life.
The skills of mindfulness are always available to you. They don’t require special equipment or even additional time. You have many demands on your time. At any time, you can shift your attention to present-moment experience—and this shift can help you stay well. It’s a simple shift, but one that requires practice.
This program is for you if:
IMPORTANT: This program is not a replacement for therapy or medical treatment and is not facilitated by a medical professional or therapist.
This program is designed for parents of babies who have a lot of demands for their energy and time. With that consideration, this is not a passive course; it takes time to learn new skills. You will be asked to dedicate 90 minutes one day per week and a little time each day.
We offer suggestions for how to work with this challenge of time. You are in good company if you struggle with limited time and fatigue.
Please know it is possible to make your way through any rough patches with guidance and support.
